4/23/14 Architectural History and Preservation Event

Merrimack hopes you’ll join us for this upcoming event! From the event Facebook page:

“An educational program on the architectural history of Merrimack Mill Village and preservation/rehabilitation tips for residents will be presented on Wednesday, April 23rd, 6:00 pm at Merrimack Hall. The event is free and open to the public. Anyone interested in architecture and Huntsville’s rich cotton mill history will surely enjoy this program!

The architectural history segment will be presented by Dr. Carroll Van West, director of the Center for Historic Preservation at Middle Tennessee State University and Tennessee’s State Historian.

The preservation segment will be presented by Ms. Jessica White, who recently joined the City of Huntsville as Historic Preservation Consultant within the City’s Inspection Department.

We hope you will join us and bring any questions you may have for the Q&A segment at the end of the program.”

Hope to see you there!
